Code 8 is TDC Sensor (Top Dead Center) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor,

and

Code 14 is IAC Valve (Idle Air Control) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor.

I would recommend you make sure the TDC sensor inside the distributor is working and the wires are good using a digital multimeter.

The wiring for this is (assuming you OBD1):

TDC Sensor:

ORG/BLU which leads to B13 pinout.
WHT/BLU which leads to B14 pinout.

If wires show they are good, then I would replace the TDC sensor inside the distributor.

As for the IACV/EACV. Best thing I would do is verify the wires are, again, good and there is no break in the wire, making sure they go to the right pinouts.

Here is the wiring assuming, again you have OBD1.

IACV wiring:

BLU/YEL which leads to the A9 pinout.
YEL/BLK which goes to the power junction harness, and also leads to A25.

If wires show they are good and there is no break in the wire, then clean the IACV using Carb/Brake cleaner, clean the screens, and if that does not fix the problem, then I would suggest replacing the IACV.

Make sure you pull the ECU/PGM-FI fuse or disconnect the Negative terminal for every trouble shooting you do, so you can reset the ECU.

HTH.
