is there anyway to fix code 9 (cyl position sensor) with out replacing the distributor?

i got cyl position sensor code with this new distrubtor that i bought from this guy, i was wondering if you could replace just the sensor in the distrubtor.

None of the position sensors in the dist. ie...ckp,tdc can be changed that I know of.
