Default Gen B16 into a 2000 Civic

we are planning to run a cable tranny b16 in our 2000 civic. the b16 used to be in a 91 hatch. but now my friend wants in his new civic. what mounts do we need to use? i know if he had a new 2000 b16 he would just need the si mounts but since his is a old b16...what kind does he need? im not sure how hes going to run the transmission yet but i think he said something about converting it or buying a hydrotranny. he just needs to knoe which mounts to buy.

Hasport has mounts for the 1st gen b16 w/clutch conversion into a 5th gen.Since the b16a2 drops in to the 5th gen with only the addition of a gsr rear bracket you should be able to use this set up.But the real question is have you thought about going from a obd0 motor with less hp into a obd2,heavier vehicle? And why?Plus your in cali right? That is illegal there.

this is for a 6th gen civic obd2 second version...my friend has a b16 from his old wrecked hatch so he wants to drop it in. he dont care about smogging and plus he dont have the cash so he wants it in his coupe for now.

not worth it. i don't think there is a mount kit made for it, plus the electrical issues of putting a obd0 motor into an obd2 car would be too much of a hassle.

Hasport makes mounts for the 1st gen b16 into a 5th gen chassis, comes with the clutch conversion also.Into a 6th gen though you'd be better off calling them and asking if the kit will work.

all you need is the hasport tranny mount and 99 si mounts, but you will need a obd2b distributor and ecu also, you might need a new shiftlinkage and axles. and if you do decide to this swap id look into swaping out the intake manifold for a better one and the throttlebody also. the obd0 pr3 head is weak.

SELL THE FIRST GEN B16

its going to take $1000+ to get that thing running in an OBDII car
you can sell it for 1300$ and buy a second gen swap for 2200. and it will go right in.
