Did you check the wires without the ECU plugged in??

Oh boy, just having issues left and right huh?

Ok, you have a short some where. If the fuse keeps blowing. Re check wiring, make sure there are no exposed wires, and check grounds.

I checked everything trust me. The problem is with IG1 and IG2 which only runs from the ecu to the main relay.

What amp are you using for the PGM-FI fuse?

Blown90hatch was having this same EXACT problem and I spoke with him over the phone about it. He told me that it just blew one day after running fine (like mine did) and that after checking all the wires and replacing the fuse time after time it just stoped blowing fuses and has continued to run for him.

Ok, you have a short somewhere. That is what is blowing the fuse. This just all of a sudden happened?

Ok heres the entire story.... I finally got everything running right and I was just driving around breaking in my freshly rebuilt engine when the timing belt snapped. A friend of mine pulled my car to my house and the next day I got a new timing belt and installed it. I then checked the valve lash to see if I bent a valve and the clearances were still to spec. So I put everything back together and then went to crank the car. It wouldn't start and I noticed the engine light was on. I jumped the service check connector but the engine light didn't blink. So the next thing I did was check all my fuses. Under the hood the FI E/M fuse was burned and everytime I replace it it keeps blowing. So I checked for a short. I decided to check for continuity to ground for the components that run off that fuse which are Injectors, IACV, IG1 and IG2, and I think purge solenoid. I found right off the bat that IG1/2 where showing they were grounded and the rest where not. This is the point I am at right now.

Bump for an aggrivating problem...

What he wants to know pretty much is he knows where the problem is, but how do you trace it?

Do you rip the entire tape off the stock harness and just follow the wires everywhere, or is there an easier way?

He fixed the problem. There was a pinched injector wire that was shorting out the system.

ok, i've removed the fuse and checked the voltage at the fuse and i get 12V, which i presume is correct because the system is hot at all time right. I unplugged the ground terminal of the battery and checked for voltage between the battery pole and the the cable and i get 12V (i've seen on Scotty Kilmer video that this means their is a short, so i unplugged the fuses one by one under the hood fuse box and there was still 12V) does that mean their is a short in the circuit, or could it be my alarm system or whatever?? i've checked the thermostat, tranny and valve cover ground and they are all good.

Second thing, i've bought a resistor box and checked the resistance between the power input and the output and i got 6ohms everywhere. The resistors i bought were 10 ohms 10watts and they cost me 35 cents each. Could the fact that the resistor box is 6ohms mean i should get 6ohms resistors? I got 10.6 ohms reading between 3 of the injector clips and 10.2 for the fourth one.

Third and final thing, is that i've put the key to ign2 to prime the fuel pump and seen that it rises to 43psi and slowly decreases (i have a small leak). Could that be creating the short since the pump tries to constantly keep the system at 43psi and since there is a leak it as to pump more so it heats the system??

Thanks for your help guys

ive got the same problem right now on my 98 gsr. it ran great and then the fuse popped on the highway. i got it towed home from a buddy and i found out the fuse popped. so i replaced the fuse today 5 times and it pops them immediately as i turn the key over. i checked injector wires and that wasnt the issue.
