Default F2D hybrid tranny question

Wassup honda-tech after thinking for awhile wat i wanted to do with my 90 civic hatch ive decided to go f20b with a d series tranny.I ve been tooling around with a gear calculator i found online an figured that the stock 01 ex and 02 ex transmission are geared very long(i can reach 195.61 mph at 8500 rpm with 205/50-15 tires on a 01 ex tranny and 174.74 on a 02 tranny if the power was available )So i was looking at the diffrent gear ratios and final drives from other d-series tranmissions and came up with this
8500 RPM limit 205/50-15 tires

3.143-41.85 1st 02 civic EX
1.944-67.66 2nd ZC DOHC
1.346-97.72 3rd ZC DOHC
1.033-127.33 4rth ZC DOHC
0.878-149.81 5th ZC DOHC
FD:4.437 ZC SOHC

Would it be possible and is it worth trying to put something together like this.My plans for the motor are cams an headwork If i could get my hands on some ITB's and i heard 86mm k20a pistons work(What compression would this net me) if i just bore it out.The Con Rods and crank(Bottom end in genral)are well suited to withstand a good amount of power(If wrong correct me)

you can forget using d17 2001-2005 components as they don't interchange into the 1988-2000 trans.

the cable dohc zc trans is a great starting point, you may have some difficulty finding one, if you cant you can look into the aftermarket to get your close ratio gears.

You will also have a difficult time finding the sohc zxi transmission to pull the 4.4375 final drive from.

I would suggest getting a DX cable trans to pull the final drive, 2nd gear, and 3rd gear to use as 4th, and using mfactory or gear-x 3/5 with a gear-x 1st of 3.083

The only problem is that if you want to use an OBX LSD, you will need a big bearing case, which is found on the cable si trans (also cable zxi, and cable dohc zc if you can find them)

My trans suggestion
1st = 3.083 (gear-x)
2nd = 1.894 (cable dx/si)
3rd = 1.565 (mfactory or gear-x)
4th = 1.259 (stock cable dx/si 3rd gear flipped over as 4th)
5th = 1.000 mfactory or gear-x 5th
final = 3.8888 dx.

Keep in mind, that if you go with the f20b, that although it does have that "cool lotso hp per liter factor" that a h23vtec will make more power, and externally it has the same dimensions and weight as the f20b Just my $0.02

Unless you get a deal on the F20B, I would suggest not getting one. I paid $800 shipped for mine, which is why I went with the F20B.

I'm looking at F23 with K20 pistons next.

bense.. hopefully you're still readin'. You seem to know a crapload about this.
Are all h/f motors the same dimensions?

I am thinking about doing an F2D or F2B. This is going to sound retarded but my main concern is how much the hood pops up. I am thinking about doing the F22/F23 for this reason alone as i hear the SOHC head is not as tall. Is this true?
