Everyone here goes 85 on the interstate. I feel im tearing up my car. Just wanted to see if ANYONE has actually experienced the 2 different trannys in the same car. But there is a thread in the prelude side talking about this same issue. Im going there.

I'm not giving you a positive answer, but I believe you could just use the H23 transmission which I THINK has the longer gears. Not 100% sure of that

edit: F22 = longer gearing for highway and touring type driving
H23 = a bit shorter gearing than the F
H22 = the shortest of the three

if you do a lot of freeway driving then i would recommend the f22 trans. i use to have one when i first swap in my h22 but then i upgrade to the m2b4 trans. i stiill get good gas millage with my m2b4 trans. On the high way i get about 28-30 mpg's, in the city i get about 19-23, combined i get an average of 24-27 mpgs. i would only recommend the f22 trans if you do alot of freeway driving and dont have a heavy foot. hope my $.02 helps

I have had both trannies, and the single cam F series tranny sucks for everything.

If all you care about is gas mileage then go to the single cam F. you will accelerate slow as ***** though

OK, your car wasnt "quick". But was it fast on the freeway? did you ever get into any races on the freeway?

lol, try an H2B with a B16 transmission and then complain about highway RPM.

How does over 4k at 65 sound?

heck no it wasn't fast on the free way. overall, the h22 tranny will out perform the f22 tranny for anything other than top speed, which i'm sure you're car doesnt even make enough power to worry about that. keep the h22 tranny
