F22 or F23 swap into a civic ??
Haven't really done much research... it's just late and my mind is running wild.
Has anyone tried to swap in an F22 or F23 sohc into a civic or an integra ? I was just wondering if it's possible right now. It would be a good alternative to a B16a or other B series, which I'm sure is more costly. Plus a 140/150hp sohc would give some bragging rights, no ? Don't know much about the motors or their trannies, I was just wondering.

I have it done! See what I had to do was get the motor first of all. I just went to a dealer and told them what I wanted. It cost me about 17000 dollars but oh was it worth it. I mean come on... this IS a civic and NOBODY in the world owns one!
Sure, I could have bought an FD rx7 for that much and put down like 300hp with about $500 in parts. But why! Everyone has an RX7 and they f@!k ugly too! Like I said... civics are rare, so they are well worth dumping money into!

Place racing makes mounts to fit any H or F series into a Civic or Integra. Give them a call and ask them to send you their complete product list, listing all of their bolt-in and weld-in mount kits (there's a lot).

Thanks for the info.... I figure an F series would be quite original and prolly cheaper than a B series... 150hp/tq isn't too shabby for a sohc either.
I'll give HASport a call on pricing.... prolly the same price as an H series mount kit...

Ya, they would be.
It will probably be around $550-$600.
Any higher, go thru some distributors like HMO or JHP

How are the F22/23 trannys ? Are they stout at all ? (Or at least better than the D series tranny ?) I know alot of people boost accords, but I alway hear about tranny problems, but don't know if that's on automatics only or what ?

The only negative to that idea is the lack of aftermarket parts for the accord motor. Plus if your gonna do it just for people to saw WOW!! Then just get you a big breasted girl to drive the car around for you. It would be cheaper in the long run. Worked for me.

F SERIES MOTOR IN A RACE CAR. just give it a few months and you'll see.
And for the WOW factor... hat was just a mention... I am really only thinking out loud as to the alternatives to a B swap for cheap...yet still have vtec (better for gas milage.) I don't have much concern for aftermarket parts tho... I'd go turbo either way and you can get mani's easily enuff and getting a custom piston made is as easy as a phone call..... if necessary.
It's just that the D16 is nice, but the F series has more base HP, Tq, displacement and are prolly pretty easy to find....
Any opinion on the stock F tranny (5 speed) ?
