f20b EK Limp Mode (CKF Sensor?)
Just got done putting an f20b in my EK. Used the distributor that came with the f20 from HMO, used the original Y8 harness slightly modified. The distributor wiring was plug and play. I have a chipped P28 OBD1. Check engine lfor:
CEL code 8 TDC Sensor
6 ECT - water temperature sensor
7 TPS - throttle position sensor
14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve
10 IAT - intake air temperature sensor
IAT is deleted so no worries on that, I'm gonna check the TPS calibration, IAC hasn't been properly hooked up yet as I used an auto harness have to do a conversion, and I'm not sure why the ECT code is on but I'll look into it. My main concern is the code 8. There is no CKF on this engine and I think that's why I'm in limp mode. I've heard I need to somehow wire it to the distributor but I'm not sure exactly how to do this. Anyone done this before? I'm using an OBD1 ECU with an OBD2 distributor, will this not work?
