exhaust combinations?
Hi All
I've been searching and trying to figure this out but haven't been able to find a definitive answer... I've been all d-series to this point but here's the new set-up... i'm getting a b20b with a b16 2nd gen tranny (i don't think this affects exhaust clearance).. i am trying to piece together an exhaust set-up and was wondering if anyone know if certain pieces are the same for a EK and DC2 chassis...
From what I have figured out... the header doesn't really matter as long as its b-series.. a JDM cat is a different size than USDM cats... a EK and DC2 mid pipe are the same size, length, and bend... exhaust sizes, lengths, and hangars are different between the EK and DC2...
If I go with a JDM cat do I need a different type of mid-pipe to make everything fit?
I'm trying to find a combination that I can just bolt up without having to go to an exhaust shop...
Right now I have a Brullen catback exhaust from my d-engine... the cat is stock and is going to be a bottle neck... the rest of the piping is 2" i believe... I don't need to go as big as 2.5" as i'm staying NA... can I just get a DC header or some such that will bolt up with no need for modifications?
Any suggestions/combinations would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks!
