Default Engine Swop

Hi, there. I'm new to the forum so please bare with me if I'm asking a question thgat has been asked before. I'd like to know if it is possible to install a 1.6litre DOHC engine in a 1992 honda ballade 160i (SOHC) without changing the ECU? Any advice wouild be greatly appreciated...

a dohc d16zc or are u talking a b16? if its a b16 then no.

I'm not sure about the actual codes of the engines. All i know is that the car I have is the 1992 honda ballade 160i. The model after the small ballade with the flib up head lights. The model in question also came out with a DOHC version. That's the engine I'm considering installing in my car. I hope I've made sense...

Okay. I did some research. I think the engine that I'm looking for is a B16A
