Default engine Swapping

Ive got a 90 civic dx with a b18b right now in it.. looking to do an engine swap... i use the car only for solo 1 and regional racing.

ive been thinking bout a b18c5 swap or a b18c1 swap... but was also wondering if anyone has ever put a k20 into a 89 dx ?.. does it fit first of all, second what does the weight differ from the b18c5 to the k20 as well how much would the install be?

i need something with lots of torque to get me outta the turns nice and fast.. k20 would be ideal but i know the swap hasnt been done too often.

give me some feedback please...and help too...

If you are looking for torque, have you considered a B20B? Might be a little less damaging on the wallet than a K20 swap, unless money isn't an issue.

you have a b18b already, what's wrong with that block? get a gsr or b16 head and a golden eagle vtec conversion kit. Search for ls/vtec. Good hp and torque real cheap.

the block has 80,000 kms on it... and has been used in my race car for probally 3 years now, i am not to sure on its stability, i would not want to sink a bit of money into it only to find it blow up in my face.

what kind of gains can i expect from a ls/vtec swap ?
also what would be a good set of pistons and cams to go with for a track set up... min octane used is 94 and the car is not used on the street period.

with the ls/vtec swap, would it be wise, or has anyone done this, boring out the block to 2.0L for the added torque? is this reliable? worth the time and money ?
