I just finally finished a swap on my 1994 cx with a b16SIRII obd1 with ITR manifold. Right now it just has the header on I extended the o2 sensor so lateri can run it to the header because on the stock cx the o2 sensor is a lot shorter.
i have a p28 chipped ecu with All motor ITR program


Well i started the car with the o2 sensor not plugged in and it started fine but would almost die at idle and then i let it idle for 5 minutes and it died and wont start back up again.

I checked the compression its 190 -200 across all PITCH BLACK (running rich right?). before i started the engine they were orange/whitish color normal looking.

Would not having the o2 sensor plugged in for 5 minutes do that?
anyone else have this problem.

later this week ill be getting my friend integra header and plugging in the o2 sensor i cant really check the timing because the car wont start

yeah you definitely need to run the o2 .... also, retrieve any cel codes. and reset the ecu before you start again to see if any codes come back, if they do let me know what they are. most likely you should be fine.

 

i extended the O2 sensor lines and installed my friends integra LS 4 -1 header and installed the o2 sensor.

now the car runs ok.. i tightened the throttle cable but i guess the o2 sensor was the culprit. i think i am throwing some cel have to check what they are but at least the car runs now thanks
