Engine not level! - B17a into '90 LS 4 do'
I have a 1990 integra LS auto that has a B17a swap and auto to manual conversion. The swap and conversion were done by myself.
The problem:
The engine is not level. The drivers side is raised by about 1-2 inches! I'm scared that my engine might not be getting proper oil delivery and it just looks wack.
Anyone know what tranny mount to use? Mounts are in good condition and I have no other fitment problems.

Re: Engine not level! - B17a into '90 LS 4 do' (Stinkalope)
I am using stock B17a drivers side mount.
Got everything I needed to do swap and conversion for $2,181, and I mean everything including engine, YS1 tranny, down pipe, clutch cable, shift linkage, main car wiring harness, pedal assembly...
I e-mail several different mount manufacturers but nobody replied
My car has been completely converted to ODB1. Switching the main harness the biggest PITA.

I thought the passenger side mount was higher on a automatic so you have to reweld the bracket on the chassis. If not (maybe thats only a civic) then are you using the wrong tranny motor mount? I think the driver side mount is the same on all DAs

Yeah that's what I'm thinking also because the auto tranny was a lot taller. I remember reading something about adjustable engine mounts. I think you were able to adjust the height of the engine. Anyone heard of such mounts?

All other mounts are sitting properly and are in good condition. Sorry no pics available. Valve cover on passenger side is actually rubbing the under side of the hood
"perhaps you can use washers to shim it down to the right level?"
hmm, sounds kinda dangerous
I have to fix this somehow. I can't tell if the bracket is higher and I've looked at 4 other G2 tegs and it's really hard to tell. I hope I dont have to start cutting and welding brackets

I will tell the problem is that you are using the wrong frame rail bracket!!!!!
the FIX is to drill out the spot welds with either a drill bit of spot weld drill bit and go down to an acura dealership and buy the frame rail bracket for about 40-50.00
and place it in the same place as the old one ( take your time on this one and MAKE SURE YOU ARE PUTTING IN THE SAME PLACE) and weld the new one on and bolt up you trans bracket
I work at a shop and have done this many, many many many Times and i know what i am talking about !

Re: Engine not level! - B17a into '90 LS 4 do' (JMR898)
yeah i was gonna go down to my local Nuts n' Bolts and see if I could get the same spec bolts but longer.
So JMR898, you're to buy a bracket made for a 1990 LS 4 door Manual model right? Or do you think any (G2 Integra) manual tranny bracket will work.
Thanks for the suggestions!

iam not 100% sure on any 90-93 teg manual frame rail bracket , But 99% sure it al the same forom 2dr to 4dr , but just to be safe go to the dealer and have them cross refrance the manual and auto bracket from the cars have them pull up the picture layout on the coumpter , and order the manual on for your car
