Default Are the engine harness plugs on my B18A supposed to look like the plugs on the D15B?

Well I was looking at my B18A and I noticed that the plugs on the engine harness do not look anything like the plugs on the D15B engine harness. There is no way they are going to plug into my car harness. Are they Supposed to? The engine is a 1992 OBD1 B18A automatic. Being that it is an automatic motor could this be the reason? How do I wire this thing? Thanks

I think the difference in wiring plugs stems more from the fact that the B18A is OBD1 and the D15B is non-OBD. Assuming that you have a D15B1/2.

You will need to reuse your original engine harness and rewire it to MPFI if your car is DPFI, which I assume it is since you said it has a D15B. Since the motor is a 92 B18A which is OBDI, you'll need to get a 90-91 LS distributor, injectors and PR4 ECU to make the swap easier and everything plug in.

your not being completely clear, but lemme guess at what you're trying to do.

Are you wanting to put an OBD1 LS motor in a 88-91 DX civic/crx?

Yes that is what I am doing. A 92 Ls motor in a 1991 DX hatch. I thought the plugs on the B18A would plug into the plugs on the car. Anyone have any ideas?

I have the distributor off of a B16A1 and the injectors, will they work?

yes those will work, but you will still need to rewire your car for MPFI, since you have DPFI currently..

The DPFI distributor plug is SQUARE and should changed to the round type found on all 88-91 Si/MPFI wire harnesses, in order for you to use the B16A1 dizzy.

Somewhere I heard that I needed to modify the B16A distributor, is this true?
