screw the p28 or not for my b16?
I have a p28 ecu in my b16 turbo hatch, and from what i hear there is no way to run a knock sensor from this computer when the stupid guy at the local shop said I had one. Anyways besides the knock sensor it raps out at 7500rpm can i have this moved to 8200rpm or so on and how much would it cost
feedback appreciated as always

ya i can hit v-tec no prob. even though you can't feel it now with the turbo, but my bud b16ahybrid told me that the p28 cannot be programed for knock sensor and that the only thing that i could get out of the ecu would be to raise the rev. limiter. Who ever made the comment about going hondata with my ecu and that the stock knock sensor is **** your damn fuckn' right!

no, the p28 does not have a knock sensor on the ECU.
I would definitely also get the p28 chipped -- with Hondata especially

yes P28 can be programmed for knock sensor but knock sensor board will need to be added from P30/PR3/P72, few jumpers changed around. but if you're going that far you're better off with just buying a P30 which is much cheaper.
stock knock sensor will not save your motor, it will do nothing more but prolong the life for few more seconds/minutes or hours
many time in built setups knock sensor will hinder overall performance of the motor
but with proper tuning, fuel and common sense knock sensor is not required. as
the design behind Honda knock sensor was for average consumer who owns a B-series motor who doesn't know its requirements and need for premium fuel - filling up 87 octane, & running who knows as far as timing, is asking for trouble.
