hey im new to this site and new to even looking into hybrid swaps and mini-mes and all that cool stuff

im currently looking into a b17 block with b16 heads
would this be a good combination and what would be its pros and cons?

ive been looking on craigslist for engines that i can build and drop into a car later
iso some opinions on your favorite swaps and combinations

also how are
d series (my friend swears by them)

k series
and the infamous h22?

are h22 good solid bottom ends or what would be a good swap with h22 hybrids?

im an auto tech student at a vocational high school so im not a complete noob but i havent really touched on engine performance and detailed instruction just tearing them down and puttin them back together

i did a rebuild on a 3.8 vortec and thats about it :D

any input is greatly appreciated

 

good luck finding a B17... the head is similar to a B16 so no gains ... look into a B20b or B20z with a B16 or B18c head

the B17 is a decent motor the way it came factory ... its similar to a B16 but 1.7ltr
