Default ecu troubles on swap, rev limiter at 6500rpms... someone help!!!

i got a problem guys, i took out my chipped p72 ecu in my gsr swap and plugged a stock one in... after that i got a check engine light and can no longer rev past 6500rpms (used to 8200) so i swapped the original one that WAS working fine and the same problem happened... WHAT COULD IT BE, i also have a vafc hooked up and when vtec turns on the vafc doesnt register that its "on" but i know its on cuz i can hear it.... any ideas people? maybe i disconnected a wire when unplugging the ecu? its a 93 cx hb with a 94 gsr obd1 swap

defintly sounds like a wire. Check the pins, the male/female VAFC connectors, and the like.
