Default ECU problems with LS swap

heres the lowdown on my car

i have a 99 EX with a 99 LS swap. when i swapped the motor, i had a 98 LS ECU from a friend and i also had a Boomslang obd2b-obd2a jumper. soo, i opted to use this cuz it was readily available to get my motor running.

fast forward to a few months down the line and it referee time. i end up buying a 2001 LS (P75) ECU. it plugs right in and i think im in the clear. Well, im not. the car cranks but seems like it doesnt want to fire. i pull plug #1 and look at it while my friend cranks the car. still, no spark. can anyone help me out with this annoying problem??

Yes, your ECU has an immobilizer, as all 99-00 integra ecu's do.

You are SOL unless you install an immoblizer key system in your car and have the P75's immobilizer reprogrammed by Honda to work with your key.

You can have the immobilizer removed, but that will throw a check engine light which won't allow you to pass the REF or BAR.

i was told that only the 2001's have the immobilizer, cuz we go my car to run on a 99 SI ECU just soo i could make it to the exhaust shop, then i switched it to a 98 LS ECU with a jumper. anyways, is there a schematic of how to remove the immobilizer?? and how much will it cost to get the ECU reprogrammed to work with my key??

well you first have to go and buy all the other parts of the immobilizer system before you can even mess with the keys...

all 00-01 US integra ecus have immobilizers, 99-00 civics & 96-99 integras dont have immobilizers.

No there's no schematic of how to remove the immobilizer and Im not sure how much it will cost for Honda/Acura to reprogram the IMM. You'll have to call and ask your local dealer...

ah, that kind of answer my question, cuz my motor is a 99 LS. soo that means i could use a 99 LS to ref my car, right??
