ECU Problems
I just put a 95 GSR in my 91 crx si. I just bought a PR3 off this kid and went to start my motor and it ran for a min then just stalled after that u needed to give gas to run it and it wouldn't rev over 3500 RPM's and it stalled. I took out the ECU i bought and no sticker was on it but the green side of the harness said the code 220-237297-1H22 and the date is Sep 30,91. I think its the wrong ecu. Can anyone help me on this.

Re: ECU Problems (XzzYzzX)
open the ecu.
first check if the ecu has another smaller board in the upper right corner, then look at the green plug on the inside.
37820-PR3 or PW0 - then J00, J01, 000, 001 are all MT ecus, AT ecu denoted by J50, j51, 901

Re: ECU Problems (XzzYzzX)
what you can do is take the ecu cover off....
Check to see if there's secondary board on there, aka the knock sensor board. Out of all of the 89-91 vtec and non-vtec ecu's (us or jdm), only the VTEC ecu's have a knock sensor board.
Here's a pic of an open PR3 ecu w/knock sensor board, and as AJK said, look for AT or MT on that secondary board if you truly have a PR3 ecu:

A PM5 is an ECU from an 88-91 Civic STD/CX/DX. It is designed to run only 2 injectors, and absolutely will not work for a B16.

Re: ECU Problems (Jaker)
Is the ECU you bought from a 1st gen b16 or a 2nd gen b16? because 95 gsr is obd1 and if somehow you rigged the harness to use obd1 distributor with the obd0 ecu, it might give you problems.
You need a obd1 PR3, I don't think there was a obd1 PW0.

U need either a PR3 or a PW0 from JDM to run a crx gsr or b16 swap correctly. Both came from a jdm crx that has vtec.

Re: ECU Problems (AllMotorMonster)
I have to use the JDM PR3 or PW0 that came in the crx's and i am using the JDM distrutor that also came with the crx. Both are ODB0 and compatable with a gsr my friend already did the swap the thing is i got ripped off for the computer. Now i need a PR3 so if anyone is selling one i could use it. Also wat is the difference between the JDM PR3 and the PW0?

Re: ECU Problems (poison)
Yea, kill that mother ****** that you bought it from.... That's why your car is cutting off early. When you don't have the TDC, CYP, and CKP and **** connected correctly that's what happens. The damn DX ECU that you got is also set up for DPI and with that you get a TPS that is reversed from what you have. The difference between DX wiring and your Si is a lot. I had to convert my friends DX for to MPI for his GSR, that was fun and i had to write up all of my own diagrams because i had none at the time.
