Default ECU decision B18c1

I have my GSR swap in and running fine except that the Knock Sensor is broke and instead of getting a new KS i'm going to get a chipped p72 or get a chipped p28 with IAB control added. Both are the same price i just need to deicde what would be better. I was think the p28 incase i get a different intake manifold. Or if the p72 chipped a better option ?

what mods do you have that require a more aggressive map? i had a skunk2 ecu that ran my stock c1 and it was nice .. i liked the highend better then then a stock p72, but the mid range was NO fun (no IAB's), it had no rev limiter, and the damn thing ran WAY too rich, fuel economy was poop and it didnt pass va emmisions.

it looks like your gonna be adding more parts in the future, youll def need the "chipped" ecu to fully utilize the those parts. the question is, what parts are you gonna use? you dont want to build your car around the ecu.. imo i think you should wait and use the money for the chip to fix your knock sensor. after you figure out how your gonna build your car you can choose the best ecu for your application.

I never said i was going to get a aggressive map, i'm going to get a stock map. The goal with the the chip is to eliminate the need of the KS. It really won't cost me anything. I can get the ECU with chip for $100 and i can sell my p72 and probally come out ahead.

sounds like a plan then.. why even post? seems like you already have your answer. so you want to eliminate just the knock sensor? where are you picking up these chipped p72s for a $100. let me know.
