ECU code 15... help...
Driving home from the track last night my brother noticed my ECU flashing a code 15... I have that listed as "Ignition Output Signal". No CEL, just the code - I reset the ECU and it went away. Anyone know what this means?!?
Sorry I can't help on this one...I don't even know how or where you check for ecu codes? My engine light has come on and I would like to know where I check it. Anybody?

Well, thanks for the (non) help... LOL...
Anyway, I don't know what car you have... if you've got an EF Civic/CRX then the ECU is under the passenger-side footwell.. just pull the carpet away from the ground and you can see a giant metal plate sitting against the firewall. You'll see a hole in the metal plate, with an LED behind it. That's the ECU LED... it flashes morse-code kinda stuff. One long flash means a 10, and a short flash means a 1 - so a 15 is a long flash and five short ones. It pauses and repeats every few seconds, and if there's multiple codes it'll cycle through them all.
Here's a pic of the ECU, and then a pic of the cover (the cover's pulled away to show the ECU)...
Of course, if you have a newer model car, then all this means nothing to you

Thanks bro... I have a 95 civic coupe/gsr and recieved the ECU code 23.
I found out it is a Knock Sensor issue. Once again thanks for the detailed response...Very cool!
