Default code 70

My 2000 Ex is throwing a code 70 when I jump the service connector. What does it mean? I can't find it listed anywhere else on here.

Yeah, the ECU thread was the first place I checked.

I am almost positive it is 70. There are seven flashes, each about a second long. The flashes seem too long to be considered counting as 1.

try resetting the ecu and see if it still does it. if it does try replacing it with a known good one and then if it still does it. reread the code.

just find a friend or someone that will let you borrow thier ecu for a min.

you can also try to put your ecu in their car and see if it does the same. then you might have to replace your ecu.

This is actually the second time it has thrown code 70. The D4 light is also flashing codes 15 and 41, if that means anything. It happened about 200 miles ago. I reset it then and everything was going fine until it started throwing code 70 again.

If there was something definitely wrong, and I reset the ECU now, would it throw the code again right when I start the car again?

Has anyone else heard of Code 70?

Automatic tranny.......?

I show CEL 70 being automatic tranny...doesnt give any other specifics...I dont have a Helms. My Haynes shows eight CEL 70's (with a code scanner you could the proper one. A local auto parts store should be able to retrieve the codes for free)
