program wise nothing, but internally they differ motherboard wise.
cxhatch02,
You can also run an OBD1 PR4 ecu and even a (reprogrammed to LS spec)SOHC DX/P06 ecu to power your engine.

Here katman...how would you do that? I wanna know how that is done.
Is it a chip or what?

Re: Which ECU (ProJectCvic)
yes, its all in the eprom chip.
An LS reprogrammed chip & then installed on a P06/DX ecu basically converts the P06 to an LS ecu. That simple.

a very special place
You can either buy one from somone such as me, or try FRYES for blank eprom chips.
are you trying to probe/ping me reprogramming info? lol

Re: Which ECU (cxhatch02)
An OBD1 PR4 should work, also a p06 (non-vtec civic) ecu will work, so will a P28 (but you won't need the vtec circuitry, so only if you find one really cheap.
Or a P74/p75
Hondata will be reprograming the ECU's, so basically it is only a vessel for the software.
Here is another helpful resource.
