ECT question, searched, not what I need.
I have a 2000 Accord SE with a 95 JDM H22A. My mechanic never got the temp gauge on my cluster to work, whenever he would run it up needle would peg out after a couple minutes of running.
I installed my Hondata S300 last week and noticed that when the ambient tempature before engine start first thing in the morning is about 70 F the ECT reads around 130F. after about 3-5 minutes of the engine running the ECT reads 270-280F. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Do I need to replace the sensor, install a resistor, check the sending unit or what?
Another thing I've noticed is my radiator fans will turn on at any tempature above 40 F ambient air temp.

Re: ECT question, searched, not what I need. (Accord2k-Hybrid)
I always seem to have the tough questions that nobody has a clue about. So I guess I'll have to figure this one out on my own as well.
