dx ecu on ls?
Im doing my swap monday 97 LS into 95dx. I do not have the ls ecu... what effects will the ecu have on my driving experience... I have done a search but im finding mixed reviews... some say good and some say bad... So please post any and all info here this will also help others w/ future searches on this topic
Any help greatly appreciated

It will run the motor fine, it will just be a little on the lean side in the upper RPM's. Just drive it normal and don't take it up too high until you get an LS ECU and you'll be fine.

Exactly. The DX computer has fuel maps and timing curves for a SOHC motor. It's kind of like when people ask about using a GSR computer on a H22 motor.... the GSR ECU has different fuel maps and timing curves than a H22 computer (P13) so you'll yield different result and are not the best suited for the motor, but still usable if you need to get around.

whats to high... the dx ecu redlines at 6500 if im correct... what about power ive heard that this combo makes hardly no power under 4k is this true. Ive also heard that it has better top end than the ls ecu

Re: dx ecu on ls? (boywonda)
i've been running a DX ecu on my b20z for a few months now and nothing has blown up yet. I realize this isn't the preferred set-up but my car seems to reject LS ecus and the DX is the only one that runs well enough to use.
i have a 195 walboro fuel pump, but my plugs are still a little white. i am trying to switch to the LS ecus but haven't been able to yet.
anyway, you can use that ECU but i would plan on switching to the LS as soon as you can.
