Default Do i need a wireing harness or can I use my stock one??

I am dropping an ls/vtec with an itr head into my 98 civic dx. I am using a chipped p28 with an obd2-obd1 converter-do i need a wireing harness from a type-r or can i use my stock one and just add some extra wires?
Thanks
