gsr or a modified ls will work just fine. to get an ls to fit properly you need to hack off one of the 'legs'

Well the problem is that I hear a grinding sound coming from it...would I have to replace the whole thing or just buy a part and slap it in?

If you take the rotor and dust shield off, you'll see the main bearing. Check that for play. Also, check that none of the sensors have come loose and are hitting the triggers.
