whats the deal with the b16/b18 head thing? i know b18c heads cost more and are more rare but what about performance? also, which would be best for use with a b20? also, why do people swap in b16's into teg's with b17's?

umm not for sure but a type r head is pretty much the same as a b16 but little bit of porting and higher reving valve train. gsr heads flow well but they got that gay intake on them you should invest in a aftermarket one (intake) if you get it

i was asking if the only reason people use a b16 head on a b18 block is because of money or beacuse they couldnt find a b18 head or is there some type of performance difference i dont know about. i also wanted to know what head would be better for a b20 build up, and why the b17 isnt very popular.

b17 are not that popular because they are hard ti find but as far as performance they all bout the same. the b 16 head will bump your comprssion up a little though
