Determining the year of an engine
Ok so I am going by this method
I bought a jdm b16 2nd gen with hydro lsd tranny, obd1, so its not a 1st gen right? But looking at the numbers like in the picture above it says 9|1 but a 91 is a 1st correct. I'm confused Is it different on jdm or something

Re: Determining the year of an engine (doublejz)
Motors that are casted as 6 month or later are put into the next production year. So if the head had 91 then a 6-11, it would be from a 92 model car.

Correct, you can also tell by the: connector colors and the block series.
