D16Z6 Help!!!
I just put a D16Z6 into my 89 crx hf. I am trying to use the P28 ECU and convert to OBD1 so I can run the V-Tec from the ECU. The wiring is a bloody mess. Any help with wiring advice, or parts that I need would be great! Thanks.

Blown90Hatch did a GB on OBD0-1 conversion harnesses. We just did the same swap and it made it so much easier. Otherwise you're looking at hardwiring everything. Also, talk to Katman at JHP, he can prolly help you.

Re: D16Z6 Help!!! (UpstateCivic)
How difficult would it be just to bolt up an Si intake manifold, engine harness, and ecu. I've already butchered the z6 engine harness, and my Hf engine harness, to try and hard wire the connections. I'm not sure I'm capable of making this work, even though I already have the mechanical part of the swap done. I can't find enough information to go wire to wire for the p28 ECU I have.

well, i hate wiring, so I personally try to find the easier route to go with. I'll suggest this to you...
Stick with your orginal HF wiring, ignition, and fuel injectors....then find yourself an 89-91 B16A PR3 ecu + have it reprogrammed w/disabled sensors (KS, 2nd 02, and VTPS) and all you'll have to do is wire up 1 single wire.....which is the vtec solenoid and presto....your vtec will work.
(hit me up if you decide to go this cheaper route. I reprogram ecu's)

Re: D16Z6 Help!!! (danielcrx)
I got a deal locally on a b18a1 computer, an si intake, and an si ingine wiring harness for 150, in trade for my p28. Should that work if I wire up the vtec to a switch? And, is that a good deal?
Thanks,
Daniel

NO NO NO!!!! get your P28 BACK!
Do you really need those parts? and btw, the B18A1 ecu is NOT able to be converted to VTEC! it has to be a PR3 ecu!
