Default D16Y8 with OBD1 wiring. and distributor

Im swapping in a Y8 in my EG, I did my searching and found that a Z6 distributor should line up....The one I have and am 99% sure its a Z6 dizzy doesnt fit. What should I be looking for here? Any help?

just confirmed its a Z6 dizzy. Any reason why the bolt holes wont line up?

the Z6/D15B head is unlike the other SOHC heads. You can drill it out and use washers if you want to rig it or just get a 92-95 DX/LX distributor. Your alternator plug from your EG won't plug into the Y8 alternator either, just swap the plug on the alternator over from your EG's motor.

I am triple checking that its a DX dizzy. The code is too faint to read.

well, put it this way-

if it doesn't line up with the y8 head, it's not an obd1 dx distributor....

it might be a d15z1 distributor or something?

Looks like a mixup, switching them and trying it again...
