Default d15b2 to d16y7 swap issues... Circular port vs Square?

After not enough research I decided to try a d16y7 swap into a 91 wagon... The wagon engine is on it's last legs and the Y7 is coming out of my civic anyway (for my B18b1 swap)... The research I had found was "the head and block will bolt up directly, easy swap"...

My plan was to keep this as simple as possible and just use the Y7 head and block, and everything else from the B2. (intake, ECU, wiring, PS pump, alt, pulley...) Apparently all that needs to be done is to extend the fan temp switch wires - as the B2 has the sensor in the back of the block, and the Y7 has the sensor in the thermostat housing. Then I would swap the crank pulley to the B2 so the pulley will match up with the existing power steering and alternator belts. Also I trimmed the timing cover slightly to allow for use of the drivers side post.

However, I have encountered a few problems that I can't find answers to. If you know anything about this I would REALLY appreciate the input.

1. the intake manifold coolant port on the Y7 is a circle... The B2 is more of a square. They are in the same position though... Will this work? I assume yes, but the likelihood of a leak from the gasket will be much greater? Without any advice I'd just use a bunch of Gaskasinch and hope for the best.

2. The B2 power steering pump bracket does not bolt up, and the Y7 bracket is too tall for the B2 pump. I do think I can grind the B2 bracket to fit though, so I'll be trying that, unless there is an easier way...

3. I've also just read that the water outlet tube needs to be swapped but I can't yet figure out why...

Any advice is appreciated!
