CTR swap into 97 Civic DX....ECU problems....Help
Installation complete. The 1st CTR computer we had would not start the car but the org. DX computer or an EX computer would start it. Both were OBD2 A. The 2nd CTR computer we recieved starts the car but it will not communicate with the OBD2 scan tool and will stall upon up rev or after idling for an extended time. As stated all computer OBD2 A.
So the main question is.... Does CTR computer have OBD 1 programming consudering it has no CKF sensor and it will not communicate with the Scan Tool?
Any ideas on the idling and rev problem? I origonaly thought that the MAP and TPS plugs were switch but they are both pluged into the correct sensor. The car does have fresh plugs, cap, and rotor.
TIA,
DDD

try switching the plugs on IACV and the map sensor
just double check that they arent switched

Are you getting any engine codes? I know you said the scanner wont work but the diagnostic plug under the dash by the ecu will work still. My guess is that you didnt modify the IACV correctly and or switch the ecu pin a14 to a12.
