my friend swapped a 99 b16a2 into his 99 ex ... technically it's not an Si, but I guess it all applies the same
anyway:
my friend is currently using a B16 header, 99 ex test pipe and his factory 99 ex B-pipe. He just bought a CTR b pipe, but it is too long and he doesn't want to chop it up at a muffler shop, since the resale value would go down.
does anyone know which header/cat (or testpipe) combo he could use? ...
are the JDM headers shorter than the b16 headers? ... I know the cats are, but he wants to run a test pipe

JDM Headers are LONGER than USDM Headers
JDM Cats are SHORTER than USDM Cats
so -->
JDM Header (longer) + JDM Cat (shorter) = ok ctr b-pipe/axle back bolt up size...
US Header (shorter) + US Lenght cat (longer) = ok ctr b-pipe/axle back bolt up size...
everything else = shorten or lengthen the b-pipe
BUT...
Me, I have (ek hatch, same as 2 door except the axleback is shorter):
jdm itr header -> jdm lenght carsound cat -> ctr b-pipe -> ctr axleback...
and I had to make the b-pipe 1" longer to fit, which doesn't make sense... so I guess it depends on the cat size. Maybe the carsound cat was shorter than jdm length as well?
But hopefully thats a start...
