Default CRX swap nightmare

I have a 91 CRX Si, with a B18c1 in it. The swap was done by a hack shop, and I need to fix it. The obd0 ecu plug was cut off, and an obd1 plug was butt connected on. The harness is a mess of butt connectors and electrical tape, and apparently was converted to obd1. There is a p72 ecu, and everything seems to work, but reliablitiy is questionable. I am ditching the super loop, in favor of a skunk2 intake, and am starting over with a CRX harness that I will properly convert to obd1. My question is, which ecu should I use with a GSR block/B16 head in a CRX? I have heard that I should use a p28, but the p30 makes more sense to me, so I am confused. Also, I am having the ecu chipped no matter what, so can I just stick with the p72, even thought the secondaries are eliminated? Will the CEL come on with the wires disconnected? Please, I need help! WTB: CRX SI harness...

Sounds like you have some work ahead of you? How much did you pay for the swap, if you don't mind me asking? If you are going to get a chipped ecu, just get a P28 and have that reprogrammed. It will probably be easier and cheaper to find a P28 than it would be to find a P30.

damn sorry to hear that, gotta do research on shops though cuz there are hacks out there who think they know what they are doing. I mean come on butt connectors instead of solder and shrink wrap?

Anyways I think stick with the P72 since you already have it and get a Hondata

I would pull that interior harness and start over, it's not worth trying to figure out other's half assed wiring
