crvtec rev limit before bottom end build up
what was your rev limit set at, on your crvtec before you decided to build the bottomend? what things did you do, to the engine in order to set the rev limit(i.e. springs and retainers, z10 girdle, better fuel pump, etc..)? any noticable side effects from the higher rev limit? TIA!

Re: crvtec rev limit before bottom end build up (smokey2.0)
I revved my completely stock bottomend jdm b20b to a rev limit of 8290 every day, all day.
My engine stopped making power @ 7400 & the only reason I went above that is to keep my momentum up in curves. @ the dragstrip I usually shifted @ 7700-7800 rpms as those were the best times I got w/ my car.
As far as building it up... build a streetable b20/vtec that makes power past 8200 & then you should worry about adding those parts you listed.

best of 15.02 @ 93.8mph on almost stock setup (only mod = tuned cam gears)
i have tried launching from idle, its OK, but still cant get to 2.2's
maybe it is my crappy street tyres...
t..
PS i rev to about 7900 which is where the stock b16a cams start to feel restricted by my 2in exhaust...
