Concernin a hot swap.......
Okay, I got a question concernin a hot motor swap...... Don't flame yet okay.... I'm just wondering what happen if you buy a motor from some dude local and you swap it in and lets say it turn out to be a hot motor..... Will you still be able to get it BAR???? What will happen if cop catch u???? Lose whole car??????? Can you get back your money from the guy selling you the shady motor?????? Can you sue him?????? How to go about buying local motors????? Thanks for all suggestions.

dude, why even go through all the trouble. you may not pay now, but you will pay later. say its 1000 less than you can find anywhere else. then the cops do find out. how much is an impound yard, loss of your car for whatever period of time, and loss of money. do you think the dude you bought the motor from is gonna stick around for you to sue him??? oppurtunity cost, look into it.

u gotta make sure for urself that the seller is not getting the best of u. such as... make sure he has all the papers for the motor, ie: some sort of title.. reciept from junkyard... something that looks legit and can prove its not hot.

actually if you even get a bill of sale from the guy stating he sold you the motor your *** is covered legally bro from any reprocutions, but i'm sure they would still try an pull the motor from you, at least you wouldn't get in trouble, just go back and tell the guy you need the reciept for tax purposes if you already bought it.
