I am pretty shure the plug is the same on all 99-00 civics, I am not shure how it will run.

are u talking will it plug in? or will it bolt in? im sure it will bolt in,i bolted in a p13 in my stock location in my 99 ex. its not straight, but its bolted in none the less...... and for 99-00, all the plugs are the same(obd2b i believe), but ya, it might be interesting to see if it helps it run any better... if it runs at all....

"size doesn't matter" ....lol..
It's the plugs on the ecu that matter. A 99 Si ecu will plug into your 99 HX.

...I don't know how an Si ecu will run w/an HX engine. Might work fine, might run too rich, might not run at all. If it does work, vtec won't kick on till 5500rpm....isn't that where an HX engine redlines? lol. The guy should just plug it in and see what happens.
nothing will blow up though..
