Do not use the SI ECU on the HX. The HX VTEC is supposed to engage at 2700.....NOT 5500!

thats what the vtec-e is for so economy vtec kicks in earlier

I wanted to know if it plugs in if i have confused anyone cause i know the 01 itr ecu doesnt plug in the 96 civic ex coupe but the gsr ecu plugs in the

Naw i happen to know what its like when a hx has no vtec-e.
Someone toyed with my vafc oneday (reset it) and i found out the hard way.
Car took off good till about 3500rpms then it just starded screaming (at this point im thinking to my self WTF wondering if i blew off the itercooler piping)
At 5500rpms it felt like a 50 shot under the hood.
The tires chirpped HAHA.

Like I said above, I believe the 99-00 HX uses the 96-98 plugs not the 99-00 style. It won't plug in.
