Default chipped p28 problems

i have a mugen copy chipped p28 for my b18c1 with a skunk2 itm, i prefer to use this because then i dont have the big flat spot from 4400-5800rpm like i do with the p72. vtec engages at 5700 and its suposed to redline at 9200 but it keeps the stock revlimiter at like 8600 or somethin like that. i know its not just a bad chip because i used my friends chipped p30 and it did the same thing. ive used this ecu in other cars and it worked fine, and it used to in mine. what could be causing this? help please

so your saying your ecu (9200rpm redline) actualy redline at 9200 in other cars except your own?

hmm, never heard of that before. you have no check engine light right?

i hope you have a good valve train to rev that high.

Can we see a pic of the P28 (the inside of course) where the chip goes. Can help you out better If ic an see it.
Also you not listing enough info for anyone to help you. It's kind of weak in the area of explantion, but then again I don't really understand your question.
If the chip revlimit is set to 9200, then it is 9200 no matter what ECU it is in.

i believe if you remove the pill completely then your ecu redline will take over

first check that

and does it sound like a red line and no power at this rpm on vafc2 right

well mine used to do that at 6200 or below and it was since the rebuild some junk got clogged in the vtec solenid screen???

or also can be the dizzy acting up???

I would check it out

mine would work on my friends car too and it was that

after I cleaned it I could feel really power again
