charcoal canester won't fit... b18c5 in EG
I just put my b18c5 in my EG last night. When I tried to put the charcoal canister on the firewall it wouldn't fit... it was hitting the actuator for the heater that comes out of the firewall.
My question is ... since I'm going to be doing a stage3 hondata obd1 conversion do I really need to run the type r charcoal canister? Will it cause problems not being the monster of a container that was meant to be there? There is a sensor on the new canister but the old one there is nothing, will this affect anything?????
Any help would be great!
Thanks

If you are not giong to convert to obd2 then just use the factory civic one. I had this same problem.

Now here's another question.... this EG is a VX and there are 3 lines from the canister. I know one goes to the fuel tank... where do the other two go? According to the diagram one goes to a purge soleniod and the other to the TB (i think) so how would run the vacuum lines now?
I think I'm making more difficult then it is...

OBD1 cannister is for OBD1 motor. OBD2 cannister is for OBD2 motor. OBD2 cannister has one line less than OBD1 cannister.
Bend the heater bracket a tiny bit, then the R one will fit. Like this:
