Default Can I put an f23a1 in my 97 Accord SE?

I'm looking to swap engines because my head gasket blew and it'll cost about the same. I'm having trouble finding the same answers when it comes to compatibility. It looks like an f23a1 only fits 98-02s. My 97 is a Special Edition. I need to know if this will fit, and if so will it cause any issues and are there parts I need to swap from my stock motor into this one to give me a good running car? Are there limitations it will put on my car? Here's the info I found about what's in it already:
2.2L L4 SOHC 16V
It's also a V4

If this won't work, what will? Is it worth going for a JDM instead?
Thanks in advance!
