Default Cams Question

Would Type R cams bolt right on to a B16 head on stock internals? Just wondering.

yeah but you would need upgraded valve springs (stiffer) to handle the higher lift that the bigger camlobes provide....otherwise if u use the stock springs u may encounter valve float....not good

I DISAGREE ITR CAMS WILL WORK FINE IN A B16A HEAD WITH STOCK VALVETRAIN AS LONG AS THE FACTORY REV LIMITER IS STILL IN PLACE

Why take the chance? Your talking about blowing a $3k motor for like $500 in misc parts.

Well it's fine if he doesn't rev past what his springs and retainers can take, but then he's not getting anything out of that cam. It's more aggressive and therefore you NEED to rev higher but he can't because he has other parts limiting him. It's only a matter of time until something blows.
