cable/hydraulic tranny differences
I have a '92 civic VX Hatch with a hydraulic five speed. i am looking to put a B16a1 in it but would like to keep a hydraulic tranny in it. from reading numerous post i have gathered that the trannies bolt up the same but no one has said anything about the computer. I guess my real question is, can you use a hydraulic tranny with a obd0 computer?
Also while i have your attention. if i decide to use a obd1 computer and a hydraulic tranny what would i have to do to the B16a1 to make it all work?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully you aren't meaning that you can reuse the VX hydro tranny. The D series tranny's will not bolt up to a B series motor. You will need to get a hydro B series tranny.

OBD has nothing to do with a tranny so yes you can use a cable or hydro manual tranny without regards to what ECU you use.

I'm assuming that you have or plan to get a first gen B16A. By the time you get a hydro tranny, all necessary OBD1 parts, etc. you will have as much if not more than what a second gen B16A costs. Either way, if converting an OBD0 B16A engine over to an OBD1 setup you will need - OBD1 ECU, injectors, distributor and alternator (can reuse OBD0 alt. if you rewire the plug).

The ECU has no control over the manual trans. So you can run any ECU with any trans (within reason).

You would have to change the two post timing belt bracket motor mount out for a three post and run 94+ motor mounts. Reuse your harness or get a 94+ integra harness. and do obd0 to obd1 convertion.
EDit: a little to late
