broke an eh22 hcp mount....
yesterday i learned i had broken the rear motor mount.
i had alrady had the issue witht eh bushign getting tore up by the rear mount bracket, but yesterday i was putting in a skunk2 manifold on my h22a, and i saw a crack. the front bolt location had snapped off the rear mount, in a line just in front of the weld that holds teh upright section of the mount to the base. nwo i know what the BANG was when i would shift hard...
its a stock h22a, act xtss clutch, HCP mounts kit, prelude CAI, oem header, high flow cat, 2.5 inch exhaust, best time of 13.7@99.96 with a 2.0 60ft. nothing specatcular...

That looks like an old school hcp mount. That sucks it broke on you. You should contact Newman on here. I'm sure he will be able to help you out with replacing it.

Have you ever thought of changing out your rear bracket.. Its not until I bought a USDM 92-96 rear tranny bracket did the mount sit how it was supposed to..

is the usdm 92-96 rear bracket any different then teh 92-96 JDM bracket?
thats what i have been using since it came with the engine.
After seeing the newer HCP mounts (did a swap a few weeks back with them) I wish they had had those out when i did mine, they are nicer if you ask me, specially with the aluminum driver side mount.

Dude HCP mounts suck *****, I had some hcp also. I broke mine also and they said that they have a lifetime warranty on those but when I brought it to them they said its due to speed shifting, duh!. that its not covered under warranty. Well what constitutes warranty then?, to make a long story short they do not stand by there warranty. HCP sucks!

The usdm and jdm rear brackets are the same.
Good luck with everything. HCPs new billet mounts look alot nicer and supposedly fix the problem they have with their older kits not lining up right with the rear mount.

Re: (v4lu3s)
I would reccomend against welding it. Even if you have to spend a little $ (It won't be more then $50-60 for a new rear mount) it'd be better then welding it.
