Default bolting up a non-si engine with a Si head??

ok, I have a question that has been wondering on me for a while now...

I own a 1994 Honda civic Si(it's the D16 VTEC engine).

My friend owns a 91 civic with a CRX Si engine(Non-VTEC)

if we were to take my head off my civic and put it onto his civic (so going from non-vtec head TO vtec head), and get the computers and electrical done...would it work?????

isn't it basically the same engine???

It would work, it's called a mini-me setup. Search for "mini-me".
