Default beak in for new engine.

im about to get my car back from the shop i had it rebuilt new pistons, rings, bored, all new bearings in the block and tranny basically any part that will wear out has been replaced. well the engine is a b16a2 with a turbo. should i run w/out the turbo or just drive it w/out boosting. how long of a break in period is needed and what kind of driving is good ( know your suposed to take around town and not only drive it on the freeway) do i change the oil more often for the first few times or just change it after the break in peroid. then normal after that

Break in period is 1000 miles, with a oil change at 500 and 1000 miles. Keep the rev's under 5k rpm and don't hammer it, but drive moderatley aggressive.

Make sure to check the oil every 2 days.

If you freeway drive, make sure to vary your speed so as not to keep the rev's at a constant.

Oh yea, drive with the turbo on, but don't go over 1lb of boost at any time. The reason for driving with the turbo on is you want the rings to seat properly when you finally get to boosting.
