b20vtec, which tranny ls or gsr?
I currently have a 5 gen hatch and have a b20vtec in it with an ls tranny, I heard that the ls tranny would be better to boost, if not boosting, its better to have a gsr. Is this true? reason I ask is that I have a guy that wants to trade me his gsr tranny. They tell me that everyone now is looking for a ls tranny due to the longer gears. However it doesn't really make sense to me cuz if you have longer gears yes you will hit a hgher top speed however you won't get into the powerband sooner than in gsr. So which is better for my setup if i don't plan on turboing, just running b20 block with gsr head?

I tried both... I stuck w/ the GSR... but I kept the LS 5th gear cuz 80 mph & 3500 rpms own joo. I dont race in 5th gear, either.

I have the YS1 cable tranny with the 4.44 final drive, and **** its just too short, 5th gear, 75mph = 4k sucks ***.
really want a LS 5th gear.
