B20Vtec question on dowel pins
I'm more asking this question for a friend who doesn't have access to a computer. He recently completed assembling his b20vtec engine and was looking through a box of some of his head parts and realized that when the engine was put together, his mechanic forgot to put the dowel pins back in the head before putting it on the block.
The mechanic says that it will be fine without the dowel pins and that they are only used mainly to hold the head in place, but since he has ARP head studs it won't be a problem. Am I missing something or does that sound wrong?
Any help is appreciated, he doesn't want to start the motor until he is sure it will be ok. Thanks.

Re: B20Vtec question on dowel pins (IGotVtec)
I see that you got a B20..maybe you can answer my question..I own a 95gsr and I got a 98 B20 stock for now..the other day I saw my check engine light on and the ecu gave me a code 43 which it stands for fuel supply system.. not sure what I need to do. Maybe you can give me some advice. Do I need a bigger fuel pump? any info would help. THANKS
