B20 vs. H22

B20 vs. H22
I am now considering either one or the other but don't know which one will give me the most for my money. Is one going to be much cheaper to swap into my 5g? They seem to cost about the same but why aren't H22's more popular then? Do they have a lot of problems? Thanks for any input.

Re: B20 vs. H22 (lstec2b)
B20 will be cheaper and easier no doubt. No one will argue this. On the other hand, Bang for buck on a 5G...I'd go H22. There are fabrication issues and you have to do alot more homework, but well worth it in my opinion. BTW, I have a B20 in a 4G and my brother will soon be H22 in a 5G...Sorry Nick, I had to tell him the truth. I mean umm, NO H22's SUCK, you can't even steer..cause like this friend of my cousins, saw this site where they said that they heard that H22 civics handle bad..like, so bad you can't even turn, y0!

I've had both in the same car. The B20 swap will be cheaper but the H22 setup is MUCH faster. As for handling, it handles actually pretty well (took it to Buttonwillow this weekend for some Road Racing... read my other post) so don't listen to people who say H22 Civics don't handle well on turns... I know, I took it out and tested it (along with other experienced drivers driving my car as well).

Re: B20 vs. H22 (Newman)
i have a question for you newman, I heard the motor hangs really low and also that you can't drop your car because of strain on the axles. are either of these true?

So Newman, you had the B20 turbo set up and you switched to a H22. How come? Any problems with you B20 turbo combo? What to look out for? What type of turbo and B20 mods did you have and could you tell me what the total costs were. I am deciding between the two and both seem excellent. I was "old4dr" but I can't seem to log in now. Thanks for all of your information.
